Manage the installation and trouble shooting and maintenance of the physical network

Key Accountabilities

Network Operations
•Install and certify communications networks constructed with current fiber optic and copper transport technologies; installation of Racks or cabinets of all sizes.
•Recommend improvement of communications networks installation procedures, methods and controls.
•Install network related hardware including Patch panel, UTP & Fiber switches, Routers, Switch (Blade & Tower), terminations of the points, testing etc.

•Install and mount of Wireless Access Points as per design.
•Engineer raceways and termination in an unobstructed esthetic manner, for fiber optic and copper transports used in wide and local area communications networks.

•Receive, inventory, logs, configures, tests, installs, and moves data communication equipment, to support Information Technology projects and in support of customer departments.
•Maintain LAN/WAN topology and cabling specifications.
•Perform daily network diagnostic checks to assess network health and determine any outages or areas without proper network connectivity.

•Configure & troubleshoot IP & Analog FAX Connections.
•Install and label power and communication cables to equipment, install and test data cabling, and labels and documents all installation actions.
•Maintain inventory and accounting database for all network & security equipment throughout the organization

Problem Management

•Analyze an incident to detect an underlying problem exists, or is likely to exist.
•Categorize and prioritize the problem based on the frequency, severity and impact of incident
•Investigate and diagnose the root cause of the problem
•Test and apply the temporary workarounds
•Document the known error record

Change Management

•Implement changes as directed by Change Management where they involve Infrastructure Service Operation component or services
•Back out changes as directed by Change Management where they involve Infrastructure Service Operation component or services
•Define and maintain change models relating to Infrastructure Service Operation components or services
•Receive change schedules and ensure that all Infrastructure Service Operation staff are made aware of and prepared for all relevant changes
•Assume any other responsibilities as directed by the direct supervisor
